Glass

Adding glass to my artist palette has been a relatively recent but very rewarding experience. As predominately a textile artist I have always wanted to be able to put my artworks outside or at least in the sunlight for periods of time and basically sunlight is the arch enemy of colour in textiles.

One day while driving around adelaide I saw a window full of beautiful sparkling colour with a sign saying 'fusing and slumping classes'. Like the moment that I stepped through the door into the kimono factory I knew that I needed to learn how to use this medium. So many similarities to floating dyes on fabric.
